Bokote is a very rare and valuable tree. Density is 1100 kg/m3 and more, close to ebony, very unusual and beautiful texture due to which it outperforms even African ebony.

The color is yellowish-brown with dark veins that intertwine to form unusual patterns. In addition to being used in the manufacture of billiard cues, it is used in the manufacture of butts for weapons and handmade knives. Despite its density and hardness, the wood is fairly easy to work with and is somewhat resinous. Has excellent gaming performance.

Bocote is of the same family as Zirikot and is native to Central and South America.
